Bob Sanders

Bio: A native of Charleston, Sanders was recruited by several programs before choosing Oregon. Later in life, Sanders and his wife, Janie Sanders, built a successful sawmill company, RSG Forest Products. Sanders demonstrated his love for the university by donating millions of dollars earmarked for several projects. Sanders died in 2019 at the age of 91.

Key statistics: The fullback in 1949 led the Pacific Coast Conference in rushing with 726 yards and led the Ducks with 60 points. A three-year starter, Sanders amassed 1,358 career yards during his career and helped the Ducks win the conference championship in 1948.

NFL: Sanders was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles, but an injury during fall camp cut his professional career short.
