The Oregon Ducks start the 2024 season Aug. 31 at home against Idaho. The Oregonian/OregonLive will count down the days with mini-profiles of prominent former and current Ducks whose jersey numbers correspond with the days remaining until the opening kickoff.

Today, No. 69: Offensive lineman Bo Thran.

Bo Thran

Bio: Thran, out of Barlow High School, was named first-team all-state as both an offensive and defensive lineman in 2005. Rivals.com ranked Thran as the No. 4 recruit in the state. At Oregon, Thran became a starter at guard during the 2008 season before moving to tackle.

Key achievements: Thran received honorable mention All-Pac-10 honors in 2009 and was awarded the Moshofsky and Officer awards. He was on the 2010 watch lists for the Lombardi Award and Outland Trophy. Thran was part of the 2010 team that reached the BCS National Championship game. Oregon’s offensive line helped LaMichael James rush for 1,731 yards and 21 touchdowns while on his way to finishing third in the Heisman Trophy race.

NFL: Following the 2010 season, Thran signed as a free agent with the San Diego Chargers.
