The Oregon Ducks start the 2024 season Aug. 31 at home against Idaho. The Oregonian/OregonLive will count down the days with mini-profiles of prominent former and current Ducks whose jersey numbers correspond with the days remaining until the opening kickoff.

Today, No. 68: Oregon guard Shane Lemieux.

Shane Lemieux

Bio: The Ducks recruited Lemieux out of West Valley High School in Yakima, Wash. Rivals.com ranked him the No. 32 offensive tackle in the country.

Key achievements: After redshirting in 2015, Lemieux became a full-time starter the following season and went on to start 52 games for the Ducks. In 2017, Lemieux was voted second-team All-Pac-12 by the coaches and first-team by the Associated Press. In 2019, Lemieux helped the offensive line lead the team to the Pac-12 championship and a Rose Bowl victory over Wisconsin. He once again received AP’s vote for first-team all-conference but was named second team by the coaches.

NFL: The New York Giants selected Lemieux in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL draft. He has appeared in 18 games with 12 starts for the Giants.
