PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Level 3 “Go Now” evacuation notice has been issued for some parts of the Darlene Fire early Tuesday afternoon, according to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office.

Central Oregon Fire officials estimate the fire at 250 acres large and say air and ground resources are actively working to suppress the fire.

The Level 3 evacuation applies to the area East of Highway 97 north of Reed Road including areas off Rosland Road and Newberry Estates. A Level 2 “Be Set” notice was previously established for the area east of Highway 97 and south of Rosland Pit. A Level 1 “Be Ready” notice was also previously issued for the area of east of Highway 97 along Rosland Road including Newberry Estates.

A temporary evacuation point is available for residents in need of support at La Pine High School as of 2:40 p.m.
