President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump will face off in their first presidential debate of 2024 on Thursday in Atlanta, Georgia. The 90-minute debate starts at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET on Thursday, June 27 with a live broadcast on CNN, ABC, NBC, FOX and many other news networks and will be moderated by CNN anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash.

You watch this first 2024 presidential debate tonight live with Fubo (free trial) or with DirecTV Stream (free trial). The debate will also be available streaming live in the video provided below.

No previous presidential debate has taken place this early in the election cycle. Due to the early timing of the debate, neither candidate has officially accepted his party’s nomination.

What are the 2024 presidential debate terms and conditions?

The debate will last 90 minutes and will feature just two commercial breaks where neither candidate will be allowed to sit during the process. This debate will not feature a studio audience and candidates will have their microphones muted when it is not their turn to speak, per CNN. Both candidates will be allowed only a pen, paper and water while on the stage. There will be no prewritten notes allowed for either candidate, and campaign staff members will not be permitted to speak with or interact with Trump or Biden during the breaks. This will prevent the candidates from receiving any feedback from their aides during the debate.

When is the next 2024 presidential debate?

Thursday’s event will be the first of two scheduled debates between Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee, and Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee. The next presidential debate of 2024 is scheduled for Sept. 10 and will be hosted by ABC.
