PORTLAND, Oregon — Morning light showers are popping on radar early this morning.  The best chance of morning showers will be near and north of Portland.  While traces of rain will be possible this afternoon, I expect mainly dry weather with sun breaks later today.

Friday will be mostly sunny with highs near 80-degrees. Clouds start to return later Saturday, but dry partly cloudy weather is now expected through the day Sunday.

July begins Monday with partly sunny weather and temperatures in the 70s. Mainly sunny and warm weather  continues into the middle of next week.  Weather models are hinting at a run of hot 90 degree days July 4th and through the following weekend.
