The first Presidential Debate of 2024 is airing tonight, Thursday, June 27 at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET on CNN. The debate will feature current President Joe Biden and Donald Trump in a highly-anticipated live event happening at the CNN Atlanta studio. Current president Joe Biden and 45th president Donald Trump will debate tonight. Trump is said to be speaking last, while Biden is said to have chosen his podium. This will be the first time the two have appeared on the same stage since 2020.
The debate airs live at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET on CNN, and some other networks like ABC, NBC, MSNBC, Fox News, CSPAN and others. There will be two commercial brakes during the debate.
According to the CNN, the new rules for the 90-minute debate have been agreed to by both parties. The rules involve will no studio audience, no interaction from campaign staff, no notes, and no interrupting. Microphones will also be muted when candidates are not speaking.
Biden’s running mate is current Vice President Kamala Harris. While Trump has allegedly chosen his running mate, he has not yet announced who they are, and that “nobody known them”, according to some news outlets.
At this time, it is unclear who is polling better, but online publication The Hill has reported that Trump allegedly has a 0.6% lead over Biden.
