Police said they haven't located or arrested any suspects.
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A shooting in North Portland has left one man dead at a TriMet MAX platform, Portland police said.
At 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, the Portland Police Bureau said they responded to the MAX platform near North Interstate Avenue and North Prescott Street on reports of someone shot. Officer arrived to find a man who was dead.
“No arrests have been made and no suspects have been arrested,” PPB said in a release. Homicide detectives are responding to the scene.
A street closure is in effect during the investigation at North Interstate Avenue between North Skidmore Street and North Going Street. MAX train service has also been interrupted and is unavailable to the public through that area.
Police said the identity of the deceased man won’t be released until a Medical Examiner confirms the cause of death and the family members have been notified. The investigation is still ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Portland police.
