Oregon State increased its 2025 recruiting class to 10 players this week, but it’s a net total because of recent gains and losses.

On Thursday, the Beavers picked up pledges from Crane tight end Cody Siegner and Texas safety Zephen Walker. There was a loss, too, as OSU received a decommitment from Salt Lake City offensive lineman Brian Tapu, one of the top names of the class to date.

Siegner is a familiar name at Oregon State, as Cody’s cousin Samantha was a women’s basketball standout for the Beavers from 2012-16. Siegner’s father Mitch played football at Oregon.

Walker is a rising senior at Lewisville High, where former Oregon State running back Damien Martinez attended high school.

Tapu visited Oregon State last weekend and gave the Beavers a commitment toward the end of the visit. But 72 hours later, he pulled the pledge, quickly pivoting to Nebraska. On social media Thursday night, Tapu wrote that he was “1000% committed” to the Cornhuskers.

The 6-foot-7, 225-pound Siegner is a multi-sport athlete who attends Class 1A Crane. He’s been a part of three state championship basketball teams. Siegner is a two-way player on Crane’s eight-man football team. He’s also involved in rodeo.

Among schools to offer Siegner include Washington State, Air Force and Boise State.

The 5-11, 180-pound Walker had offers from Coastal Carolina, Army, Air Force and Arkansas State. Last season at Lewisville, Walker had 48 tackles, including 10 for losses, in 10 games. Walker recently visited Oregon State.
