Tracy Rasberry, 24, was killed Wednesday morning in a North Portland homicide, police reported.

Portland police have publicly identified the man who was shot to death in North Portland on Wednesday as Tracy Rasberry, 24.

Officers found Rasberry, of Portland, dead around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday after responding to reports of a shooting in the area of North Atlantic Avenue and Buffalo Street in the Arbor Lodge neighborhood. Minutes earlier, the sound of gunshots led neighbors to step outside and spot Rasberry lying on the sidewalk.

The suspect or suspects had already fled the scene, police reported.

Police confirmed Friday that Rasberry’s death was a homicide. No arrests have been made, and police are continuing to investigate.

Rasberry is the 33rd person to die of a homicide this year in Portland. That’s fewer than last year at this time, when Portland had recorded 43 homicides.

The last homicide to occur in Arbor Lodge was in January 2023.

Police ask anyone with information about the case to contact Det. Tony Harris at tony.harris@police.portlandoregon.gov or Det. Tony Sharp at jeff.sharp@police.portlandoregon.gov.
