The Portland Trail Blazers picked up the option on forward Dalano Banton’s contract, an NBA source confirmed to The Oregonian/OregonLive.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the news.

The 6-foot-8 Banton, acquired from the Boston Celtics at the trade deadline for a future second-round pick, averaged 16.7 points, 3.6 assists, and 4.8 rebounds in 30 games with the Blazers. He made eight starts.

He will make $2.2 million next season.

Banton shot 40.8% from the field and 31.1% from three-point range with Portland. But he sat at 35.3% on threes before going 2 of 25 over the season’s final two games.
