Vince Goldsmith

Bio: Goldsmith graduated from Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma, Wash., before attending the University of Oregon, where he became a force in football and track and field (shot put).

Key Achievements: Goldsmith was named First-Team All-Pac-10 Conference twice (1979 and 1980) and became the school’s only defensive lineman to receive the Morris Trophy. Goldsmith was named second-team All-American by the Associated Press in 1980 and was inducted into the University of Oregon Hall of Fame in 2002. Goldsmith finished his Oregon career with 281 tackles, including 34 for loss.

Professional Career: Goldsmith, who spent ten years in the Canadian Football League, was named to the CFL Hall of Fame in 2024. He played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, the Toronto Argonauts, and the Calgary Stampeders. He won a Grey Cup championship with Saskatchewan in 1989 and was a three-time CFL All-Star.
