PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A mix of isolated rain showers, mostly cloudy skies and warm afternoon temps greeted us on Saturday. As we look to wrap up our weekend, Sunday will be similar to Saturday’s conditions.

Portland saw some passing rain showers in Saturday’s early evening hours with quick moving showers throughout out our region.

With just a trace in PDX throughout Saturday afternoon and evening, Astoria reached .04-inch of rain by 8 p.m. Saturday night.

Sunday will once again be a mostly cloudy day across Portland with a warm afternoon around the metro area. Daytime highs expected to reach the low-80s or upper-70s up and down the Willamette Valley. There is also still a chance of some pockets of spotty rain on Sunday with Portland expected to get about .01-inch of rain Sunday.

Those spotty showers across our region are likely to arrive in the early morning hours.

As for the seasonal temperatures of the upper-70s, you can expect those to last into the early part of next week around Portland and the Vancouver area.

Summer heat is then heading our way by late next week, while the metro area looks to climb into the 90s by the Fourth of July.

Stay with the KOIN 6 Weather Team for the latest updates as Portland prepares for another round of summer heat.
