Matt Pierson

Bio: Pierson, out of Jesuit High School, walked on at Oregon. He redshirted in 2011 before seeing in three games during the 2012 season. He made seven appearances in 2013.

Key achievements: Injuries during 2014 forced Pierson into the starting lineup. He struggled early on before becoming a consistent performer later in a season that saw the Ducks win the Pac-12 title, the Rose Bowl, and advance to the national championship game.

In 2005, Pierson received a scholarship and started 11 of 13 games at left guard. Earned honorable mention academic all-conference for the second season.
