PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Happy Birthday, America.

The United States is celebrating 248 years of independence on July Fourth and there are plenty of places to watch the fireworks around the greater Portland area in 2024.

One of the region’s largest Fourth of July firework shows is held during the Waterfront Blues Festival each year at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. The show is visible from around Portland’s city center and there are many paid and free events centered around the show.

Surrounding communities in Oregon and Washington are also hosting a variety of events for the holiday. KOIN 6 has compiled a list of a dozen firework, drone and laser light shows to check out this Fourth of July.

Where to watch Fourth of July Fireworks in and around Portland in 2024:

• Waterfront Blues Festival: The Portland Waterfront – Fireworks begin at 10 p.m.
• 4th of July Spectacular: Oaks Amusement Park – 9:45 p.m.
• City of Tigard 4th of July Celebration: Tigard High School – 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
• Happy Valley 4th of July Family Festival: Happy Valley Park – Noon to 10 p.m.
• City of Sandy 4th of July Fireworks Show: Sandy High School – Dusk
• The 4th of July Great American Bash in Vernonia: Spencer Park – 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• Molalla Buckeroo: 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
• Kalama Summer Lights on the Fourth: Kalama Harbor Lodge – Noon to 8 p.m.
• Washougal 4th of July Concert and Fireworks: Washougal Marina Park – 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• 4th of July Celebration at Skamania Lodge: Skamania County Fairgrounds – 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
• Lake Oswego Concert & Laser Lightshow: Foothills Park – 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
• Wilsonville 4th of July Concert and Light Show: Town Center Park – 8 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.
