Pleasant summer weather is expected to hang around Portland through Wednesday, with sunshine and temperatures in the high 70s or low 80s for the first part of the week.

That includes Sunday, when forecasters are calling for partly sunny skies and a high of 80 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

The hot weather kicks in just in time for the Independence Day holiday. July Fourth is expected to be sunny with a high of 91 degrees, according to the weather service.

Friday and Saturday will also be sunny but even hotter, with temperatures in the mid-90s.
