Max Unger

Bio: Out of Hawaii Preparatory Academy in Kamuela, Hawaii, Unger went to Oregon as a three-star recruit. Went on to become a four-year starter at Oregon at left tackle and center.

Key achievements: Unger was just the fourth offensive lineman to earn First-Team All-America honors twice (2007, 2008). Unger received second-team All-Pac-10 in 2006 and first-team in 2007 and 2008.

He was part of the front five that helped Jonathan Stewart set the school record with 1.722 rushing yards in 2007. During Unger’s junior and senior year, the Ducks led the Pac-10 in scoring. UO led the conference in rushing and total offense during Unger’s final three seasons. He was inducted into the UO Hall of Fame in 2019.

NFL: Unger was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft. His professional career also featured four years with the New Orleans Saints. During his time in the NFL, he became a Super Bowl Champion with the Seahawks (Super Bowl XLVIII), earned First-Team All-Pro (2012), and was a three-time Pro Bowler (2012, 2014, 2018). Unger announced his retirement in 2019 after a ten-year career.
