A homicide investigation is underway in Vancouver after a woman was stabbed to death.

A woman was stabbed to death and a man injured in Vancouver on Sunday, the Vancouver Police Department said.

Officers arrived in the 1000 block of Southeast 160th Avenue at around 7:45 p.m. after receiving reports that a man had stabbed a woman and then stabbed himself. The woman was declared dead at the scene, and the man was taken to a local hospital, according to police. The man’s condition is not known.

Police said the man and the woman, whose names haven’t been released, “were known to one another and there are no outstanding suspects.” Police have provided no additional details. A homicide investigation is underway.
