The Heat Wave continues as Portland will set a record high for the 4th day in a row.

PORTLAND, Oregon — Portland hit a record high temperature for the third day in a row on Sunday. Around 5 pm the Rose City topped out at 100 degrees, the first triple digit day of the year, knocking aside the previous record high of 95 degrees for July 7, set in 2010.  Vancouver, Salem, Eugene and Medford also all hit new record highs.

The Excessive Heat Warning issued by the National Weather Service lasts through Tuesday for the I-5 corridor.  High temps in the Willamette Valley and southwest Washington will reach 100 - 105 degrees.

Cooling begins Wednesday as high temperatures are forecasted to hold in the low 90s.  A KGW Weather Impact Alert extends through Wednesday evening as uncomfortable heat continues for people without AC.  Portland's 7day shows high temperatures back into the 80s beginning Thursday, ending what will be a 7-day heat wave with highs at 90 degrees and hotter.
