A wildfire that started Saturday in Gilliam County grew to over 20,000 acres by Sunday night, and containment of the perimeter was still listed at 0% as of Monday morning.

The Gilliam County’s Sheriff’s Office has issued a Level 3 (Go Now) evacuation order for the community of Lonerock. Residents are urged to leave immediately.

An evacuation center is available at Memorial Hall in Condon.

The Oregon fire marshal has mobilized statewide resources to help local firefighters with the Lone Rock Fire.
